Auger Boring equipment inside the pit

Case Boring/Auger Boring

Case boring, also known as auger boring, is a safe and reliable drilling method where a steel sleeve is horizontally jacked into the earth, always protecting the asset which is being drilled under. At Shoota Drilling & Civil we have a wide range of auger boring equipment and machinery allowing us to drill from 300mm to 1800mm diameter.

Guided Boring Machine (GBM)

We use an Akkerman guided boring machine which is used for pinpoint accuracy of pilot tube installation to control on line and on grade with the process of horizontal auger boring. The benefits of the GBM include line and grade accuracy prior to the advancement or installation of the steel casing or concrete jacking pipe.

Concrete jacking pipe is a method used for a protection sleeve other than steel. When performing this process, the concrete jacking pipe is jacked from a send pit to a receive pit. Concrete jacking pipe is often used for storm water or a protection sleeve for the insertion of a product pipe.
